FAQ

My soap has a couple of small chunks in it. What's going on?

It is normal for Castile soap concentrate to sometimes have small gelatinous chunks in it. The reason for this is that the conversion of the soap into a usable liquid concentrate from the gel stage at time of processing requires an accurate amount of water to be added. Great Lakes Castile Co. only uses just enough water to turn the soap into a usable liquid form. The more you open your soap container to use it (or if you've accidentally left the lid off for an extended period), some water will evaporate, and slight gelling can occur. It's nothing to worry about and should dissolve when diluted for use!

From where is your Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil sourced?

Our Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is sourced from Argentina, Australia, Chile, Spain, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Peru, Portugal, Tunisia, or Turkey. We pride ourselves in using olive oil from these regions due to the longer ripening time of the olives, which is ideal for hand-picking and cold-pressing methods.
